Born in 1961 in a small 450 yr old family owned thatched cottage in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, England, he has always had a fascination with Photography, Art, Aviation and Electronics from a very early age. Spending a significant amount of his childhood time sketching, painting water colours and taking photographs. Photography was introduced to him by his Father, John, who had his own dark room in the attic of their family home, where many long nights were spent developing black and white photographs.

"It was a real joy to be able to take photographs with my heavy old Nikkormat 35mm camera, that was given to me as a present, by my Parents, then go home and develop those pictures. You could see the results slowly appearing right in front of your eyes in the developing bath and hone your skills in a way that was very involved and much more hands on."

Following in his Fathers Aviation and Engineering footsteps he spent many hours flying in the Family four seat 'Auster' Aircraft on many adventures which involved flying to, and working at many small aerodromes throughout England. After spending years in the Electronics industry, he trained and became fully qualified as an Aircraft Avionics Engineer in 1993 and moved to NZ in 1996 to pursue his career and enjoy a country filled with stunning natural beauty.
Photography & Art has always been in the background to his Electronic & Aviation career, but has come more to the forefront over recent years.
"Living and working in New Zealand and being immersed in such a spectacularly unspoilt country of natural beauty with daily artistic inspiration in incredible lighting, weather, tides and moods has been life changing."
